There's a school nr the big roundabout at the bottom of the hill coming down from the university on Hiram's Highway..... Which has been empty for years. From what I can tell it looks like it is a nice big building.

Isn't there a school SHORTAGE in HK?? Why has it not been given to an international school as a campus so they can reduce the waiting lists which are causing HK to be less competitive and less able to attract foreign talent? Or even to a local school?

I can't for the life of me understand why the HK govt wld let it lie empty? Anyone able to enlighten me?

Apparently there's another fine old building sitting empty in Sai Kung near Sha Kok Me village. I haven't seen it but it's been mentioned in conversation that it would be a great location for a school. Rent apparently is $30K a month.

That's what I've heard, that it's a beautiful old building. Meanwhile it sits empty and I wonder how long it will be before it's put to good use. School, housing... something other than an empty building!
