My family just moved to HK about a month ago. We are getting settled in and enjoying the city so much. His birthday is the day after xmas and I am trying to plan a fun day out to surprise him. He loves the outdoors/hiking, so I was planning on packing a picnic and heading somewhere green, but I thought I'd see if there is any really special spot or activity I might be missing. Any ideas are much appreciated! thanks!

This has nothing to do with hiking or being green etc, however, my wife bought me a ride in a helicopter over HK. There was only the two of us and we had a wonderful time. For you and your husband, being new to HK, this will put everything into perspective and you will appreciate a little more how good HK is. A lot of fun.
