Renovation at Greens???

Hello everyone.


I am about to sign a 2year tenantship at the Greens but I am a bit worried because I just read that a major renovation work is going to take place there very soon. Is this the case and if so when will it start or how noisy/messy would that be? I asked the landlord to add a clause for that and she refused! :/ It is a good deal but I am not sure if it is worth the risk.

If it's a major renovation which involves putting up netting on the outside of the building, then it will be extremely unpleasant - especially if you don't go out during the day. I have lived through this and it involves drilling all the tiles froms the outside of the building, dust getting in everywhere, strong smell of adhesive later in the process and workment clambering about. Not for the faint-hearted.

We live in the greens as well and I know that a major facelift for the greens has been in the cards for sometime now however I am an owner and we have not heard anything about when or if the project is moving ahead.


But yes, you are right. Re-tiling is a messy job. Our office building just went through it.
