26yo Aussie Male - Looking for hobby advice. Music/dancing?

Hey everyone,

I've been living in Hong Kong for a year now - I work in advertising and the hours last year were INSANE. I never really found myself lonely because I was either at work, getting drunk with colleagues or asleep.

This year however, things have (thankfully) toned down A LOT.

The downside is I have found myself with waaay too much spare time on my hands. I'm starting to get lonely and scarily can feel myself getting depressed.

I'm over the drinking/partying lifestyle that seems to go hand-in-hand with first moving here.

I really want to meet some new people outside of my work circle.

I'm really into writing and recording music. I've played in bands for the past 10+ years but there doesn't seem to be much of a live music scene here.

Alternatively I'd really like to join a dance class.

Can anyone recommend a good place to learn and meet people on the island that would be expat friendly? I'm really keen on the idea but don't know where to start. I'm up for any style. Just want to have some fun!!

Any advice would be MUCH appreciated!

-Maurice

Check out Golden Voice Entertainment. They have a Facebook page. A couple of the members are Aussies. They hold open auditions a few times to find new members.
