Hi everyone! I need some advise regarding the entry of my friend to HK...shes been a domestic helper in HK since 1997-2002, afterwards she entered HK as a tourist (doing some illegal business-buying stuff from China and selling to HK), while having a multiple visa in CHINA. In early 2005 she got stamped DOB in HK immigration, so she went back to her place of origin. She returned to HK again in mid-2005 using a different identity...after several entries to HK she got caught, she was hold and interrogated in the HK immigration in the border after the interrogation she was permitted to go back to China in that same day. Now, she is planning to work again in HK as a domestic helper, will she be allowed to work again in HK as a DH? it was almost 6years ago...
Any advise will be much appreciated. thank you!

As usual, the immigration department will treat cases on a case-to-case basis. You'll never know until she does apply and get hired.
Your friend must be thinking not to waste placement fee expenses if she's not allowed into HK anyway. What will be the chance that her previous records will make the HK immigration department deny her employment as a FDH? Who knows.

thanks punter!
Is there any way that i can check in the immigration or any government department before proceeding? she is considering the placement fee (ranges from 18-25,000 HKD) as it is huge amount to waste if it will not go thru and or she will be jailed upon arriving HK.

You can't check on her behalf. Immigration Department will not give out any information about anyone else. It's against the Privacy Ordinance. I would tell your friend to save her money and not bother. I very much doubt she will be allowed in again.
