Hi, it has been for a while I thinking to ask other people if they have similar situation. It is our first child she is now 2 and half years old. she had this sleep problem that she doesn't sleep through out whole night and gets up one or two times and ask for milk.
when she was 1 and half years old, some how she will get up early morning 6 am and after drinking milk start playing instead of going back to sleep and will sit on bed and talk to herself does happen once or twice a week. She sleeps together with my wife on same bed her. Is it normal for child to do this kind of thing.

My daughter did that and still does that sometimes. She is now 3 yrs and 5 mths. Just tell her it is still night time and still sleeping time and ask her to go back to sleep. Minimize talking and dont give her milk. I thinj hey are just confused about the time thnkng it is morning already. Also another thing i noticed is my daughter sometimes needs to go wee wee when she wakes up in the middle of the night.

And talking to herself is perfectly normal at this age. They are role playing, using their imaginations....etc.

you may try to bring her to a music therapy I guess, as my niece also has the same problem, but not in morning, when back home right after kinder After she went for the assessment and some treatments for about a month, she improves obviously and willing to communicate with mom, but not talking to herself that much. If you need more info that, I can help to ask my sis. Good Luck!
