Ok, I've been told that Good Friday and Easter Monday are not mandated holidays for domestic helpers? (the issue being that apparently not all days which most of ex-pats know as 'public holidays' are actually statutory entitlements or similar for *all* workers, with domestic helpers having a specified set of holidays that includes most 'public holidays' but not all). Is this right?
Please don't respond with a "it shouldn't matter - I'd give my domestic helper all days that anyone else receives as 'public holidays" type response. I'm simply trying to check the actual legal situation here, not invite a debate on the morality of it! This is what i've been told, so just checking here as not sure where this can be checked on the govt website. Cheers; thanks in advance.

Good Friday & Easter Monday are public holidays, not labour holidays therefore domestic helpers are not entitled to be given these days off.
Today is a labour holiday so it's their rest day.

Yes, Good Friday and Easter Monday are general holidays but not statutory holidays, and employees (including domestic helpers) are not entitled to be given them as days off.
For a list of statutory holidays and the relevant labour legislation, go to the following link:

Hope that helps.
