Breadmaker Woes

Hi

Does anybody have any advice for solving our problem of "falling" bread when using a bread maker?

We have changed our yeast and even tried reducing the amount of yeast used but still no luck.

We have a Kenwood machine.

Thanks

John

Hi,

I use Kenwood bread maker too but never any problem. Maybe the water is too hot? or you didn't select the right program. make sure you read the instruction from the book let that came with the machine and try again. Good luck!

My bread maker manual says if your bread collapses that means the quality of your flour isn't very good, try using a different brand or you have used too much liquid, try using 10-20ml less water. Hope that helps!

One thing to note about using a bread maker is that the ingredients must be exact in measurement and they must be put into the machine in the exact order of the recipe. I've noticed any deviation will result in problematic result.

One other point may be to put the salt on one side and the yeast on the other side i.e. avoiding them touching when you place the ingredients into the machine.
