Anyone know where I should begin to look for sparklers for a birthday cake?

Sorry to disappoint you, but fireworks are banned in Hong Kong. You will be wasting your time by searching for them.

I don't want fireworks just those little sparklers that make birthday cakes a bit special when they come to the table. I have seen lots of people have them on cakes in restaurants over the years so they must be somewhere.

CitySuper sold (as recently as last year) tall, thin candles that sparkled like sparklers when lit.


They seemed to stop selling them in 2011 and I haven't seen them anywhere since.


The similar-looking candles that burned like ordinary candles but relit themselves after being blown out have also disappeared.
