Hi All,

Can you advise me where I can buy good quality BACON?

Not the stuff that creates that white, watery goo when you cook it, and not skinny, tiny little strips as preferred by my North American friends ;) ?

Thanks!

AE

Try Shek Kee Frozen meats behind Sketchers in Sai Kung. They even sell it by the whole side so you can boil up bacon and cabbage in Guiness

No they dont but you can get Australian corned beef at TC's in Hang Hau bit pricey though about $200/lb. Also good boild with lager and cabbage srved with thick mash, yum

If you get back bacon whole from Shek Kee you need to book it as they usually slice it up once they get it or you can ask them to slice it thicker no extra cost.

Shek Kee is the one without the slidig doors

thank you guys, I'll go check out the Australian stuff this weekend.

This is probably a really long shot, but if I were to corn my own beef, where could I find some saltpeter? Free corned beef sandwich for anyone who can point me in the right direction!! Come on, lovely pink corned beef with homemade sauerkraut on dark rye, you know you want some.
