I want to pursue a parking violation that I strongly believe is incorrect. Problem is this: in HK, when you get a traffic ticket, you pay the $320 right off. If you choose to pursue it in court, they refund your fine, but if you lose the court case, you not only pay the $320, but apparently they hit you with court fees to a total of about $1400.
I spoke to the police Commissioner, and he said that the process is balanced because you can ask for your own fees if you win; not only do you not have to pay the $320, but you can reclaim laywer's fees and expenses.
I'd like to find an attorney who is willing to consider taking on my case in exchange for whatever fees we can recoup from the court.

pay for a gold plated lawyer if you have to, because you will get the money back, because you are "in the right" .. right?.... do you understand that?
Sounds to me like you have doubts about your innocense, as you seem 'clueless'. I'd go with the gutt feeling that someone whom does their job, daily, (parking officer) has more of a clue than you do.
PAY the money, own your mistake, and learn from this.
