Lawyer Needed - School "Deposit" Refund

As your lawyer's fee will be at least HK$5,000 and - to the casual observer at least - you are obviously in breach of contract, what are you trying to achieve? The 'service rendered' was the reserving of the place in exchange for a non-refundable HK$10,000. Anyway, isn't it similar to putting down a deposit on a flat and then failing to complete - in which case you would automatically lose your deposit?
