What is the law in HK for child custody?

I have a few questions about custody of my children if I leave my husband.


If I do leave him, can I go out of HK with my children or do I need written consent from my husband?


Could I just take them on holiday to Europe and stay there, or would that be considered abduction?


Is the law in HK more favorable towards the mum or dad? Does the mum automatically get custody over the kids?

24, obviously I don't know your situation, but I really hope your post regarding the feasibility of international child abduction was just a momentary lapse rather than something that you're seriously considering.


Whatever problems you're having, you have no right to take that course of action - and accordingly, such a course of action would be treated as a serious criminal matter.


Are your children in danger from your husband? If so, there are legal avenues of escape from the situation.
