My Christmas holidays in Australia

My friend just returned from the holiday to Australia with 3 nights Bali stopover. He booked the flight from online travel agency called flight centre HK which claims to offer lowest airfare guarantee. I wanna go to book my trip to Australia for my Christmas holiday. Has anyone booked flights from the agency before and can share their experiences? Many thanks.

Flight Centre is pretty much reputed but the lowest airfare guarantee is something I would never bite.

If you're looking for lower prices book a budget airline online.

If you're looking for comfort and no hassles travel go to a travel agent to reduce the anxiety.

Best flight to Aus from HK is Virgin Atlantic as even if you exceed your baggage or weight ( greather than 22kg), you can easily carry another huge bag (22kg max) and just pay about 45USD or so at the most. Cheapest option available than paying for any excess luggage and this airline is on time too.

Another thing to understand is, are you going for Christmas Holidays or are you going to celebrate Christmas in Australia?

1. Going for Christmas Holidays only - Have fun browsing around and enjoying the outdoors.

2. Going to celebrate Christmas in Dec for holidays - SORRY, wrong timing. The best place for Christmas is of course Sydney in Australia but the sad fact is Christmas fair and fireworks and all celebrations are in NOVEMBER last week. YES. Christmas eve and Chritsmas is DULL in Australia because most people celebrate it at home with family or most of them are travelling. So, if you want to celebrate Christmas go in November.

One more thing, while booking flights to Australia, book ones going to Sydney as its going to be the cheapest as far as the major cities are concerned.
