what keys have to be pressed to get normal spaced english in a XP chinese computer

as a result accidentally press, keys, and ''ｍｙ　ｔｅｘｔ　ａｐｐｅａｒｓ　ｌｉｋｅ　ｔｈｉｓ．''　its so frustrasting, and only way l know how to get back normal text such as this is to restart computer, l know pressing ctrl + shift gives u pin yin / chinese but this doesnt seem to get the english text back with normal spacing


please help

Lennox, I believe this is a problem with the font you're using (SimSun) which is a Chinese language font.


See if you can change the font within a document to Arial or similar - hopefully this will fix it.

if you are using windows go into control panel and language settings. makes sure english is at the top and you can set the keys there that will allow you to switch between languages and set defaults etc.
