The atrocious air pollution is one thing, but now, with property prices by far the world’s most expensive, is Hong Kong destroying its status as ‘Asia’s World City?’
Hong Kong’s standing as a key location within Asia is “under threat,” said Craig Shute, senior managing director for Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan at the real estate services firm CBRE.
“We have reached a tipping point.”

Meanwhile UK newspapers were reporting a story yesterday that by 2015 HK will overtake London as a financial center which is why some many of them are heading over here. Can only see rentals and school places going one way....
