I am looking to replace some lightbulbs in a craft lamp I brought from Australia. The buld isnt available in the usual places near me (Japan Home, Park and Shop etc) so was wondering if anyone knew of any speciality shops I could visit?

If you got it at a market/craft shop ect in AUS you may find it easier to remove the electrical fitting and buy a local fitting to replace it. Is a bayonet style bulb or screw type? If you tell me the number on the side I may be able to tell you exactly where to get it.
Or
If you go to the electrical supply shops in Wan chai between Johnston rd and Queens rd East (or anywhere) you will either get the bulb or be able to buy a replacement fitting.
There is an electronic supply shop in Thomson road which does have some unusual bulbs (Paul Cheung Radio) And no I don't work, own, or have anything to do with it other than buy stuff there.

Is that a compact fluorescent bulb which pushes in to the receptacle and has a square block with a pin either side?

If it is I think the electrical supply shop on Leun Fat street has them. (Street is between Gresson st and ship street, it's not in english on google maps)

Visited the places you mentioned today, they didnt have the right one. They smallest they had was a triple loop, need a double or it wont fit. Its not big deal, its a nice to have but can live without it (or by a local replacement). Thanks for the info though.

Last time I needed one of these I needed the bigger one and I remember I got it from 45 Johnston Road, Wan Chai and he had two sizes. I think the bigger one was 18w and the smaller 14w. Happy shopping
