Hi all,
I've been planning my trip to Greece and Turkey for a while now. Thinking of going there end of March.
There were supposed to be three of us. But my friends suddenly cancel the trip. And it's just me now.
I've heard some stories from my friends about places in Greece and Turkey which I shouldn't go there alone, because of the safety issue? I don't believe such thing. But seems alot of my friends share not-so-nice story if you travel alone. On the other hand, I read travel books/websites, seems nothing I should worry about.
I wonder if anyone here been to Greece/Turkey and mind sharing some stories or tips maybe.

Athens was fine but it is horribly cold and rainy on the islands... in Crete and Santorini most of the hotels and restaurants were not open... and ferries were very sporadic as there are virtually no tourists around during the cold months... I would avoid the islands in the off season...
I felt that Greece was safe - however there have been issues with attacks on illegal immigrants - I did not see anything like that and nobody bothered me...
Off to Turkey for Chinese NY - know many who have been - it is not a dangerous place....
Now if you are planning a trip to Mali...
