South Horizons?

Hi, we are considering to buy South Horizons and wondering if there are any comments + or - from anyone living there etc? Our little girl will be studying in SIS and we are looking for somewhere nearer and affordable. I noticed most of the posts are quite outdated so will really appreciate some current advice. Many thanks!!

They will have MTR in future. Many expats there already.

I like it. Lots of public transport (MTR will add to that), good communal areas, pools, club etc. I think there's a school bus to SIS.

very few expats, if by that you mean gweilo or native/fluent English speaker. Has lots of conveniences if you have kids or are elderly. Lots of old timers here. good facilities and transport options. v. good park and shop. schools nearby or on premises. clean air outside.


restaurants blow except for the one chinese place on grounds. the interiors of the apts are all pretty run down, some of them quite gross. Very HK in that regard, i.e. kind of trashy nasty interiors despite the high rent/sq ft price. obviously very high pop density too. The bathrooms are esp disgusting, in all the flats I have seen and lived in in SH


honestly I'd love to find a better estate that is still good for kids/families. But where? And commuting from here is never that bad. So.....
