Where can you buy plain brown paper bags in Hong Kong? I've looked in Japan Home, park n shop, local homeware stores, Wanchai market. None of them had any!
Are you looking for the lunch bag type thin paper bags or the thicker carry handle type bags?
The lunch bags are rare in HK. I have only seen them once in Gateway.
The small shops that sell the plastic bags and takeaway containers (usually located near wet markets) sometimes have small paper bags. These look like someone made them by hand and are smaller than the 'lunch bags' in North America.
If the carry bags with handles you are after - then many options. Reliance stationary, the Justco Living stores, the same small shops mentioned above...
Gateway ("The American Store") in Sheung Wan stocks the real deal American brown paper lunch bags. Corner of Wing Lok Street and Des Voeux Road.
