Hi, does anyone know how long it takes to get a hk driving licence issued if I apply in person at the admiralty centre with my UK driving licence? Is it same day or do I have to wait for it to be processed and sent out?

I seem to recall showing my valid Canadian license and getting the HK license the same day (this was close to 10 years ago so don't quote me on that)

They do not process the same day. You need to make an application and pick up on another visit.

If I remember properly, you made application and received a paper receipt that allowed you drive, however, the plastic licence you need to return and pick up on another day.
