I am going to school in Manhattan area starting August. Urgent need to find a studio or 1 bedroom apartment there. Any suggestion how to do it from Hong Kong.

I actually live in Brooklyn and about 10 mins from the city. As someone who has lived in NYC for sometime, here it will be easier to find places once your here. Most if not all apartments rarely rent out via online. However, if you want to get a feel for locations, try Craigsist since most people use this as a source.
