Have a 7:00pm event in Kowloon Tong tomorrow night and wondering what time I should leave Wanchai to make it there on time. I will be driving and don't care if I use the Central or Eastern tunnel. I assume the Central tunnel will be best since it's a straight shot.
Will 1 hour be enough?

A simple look at Google maps advises it is 8.5km, and 12 minutes in current traffic using 'route 1'; or 9.8km and 19 minutes using 'route 2'. Both suggested routes advise using the Cross harbor (Central) tunnel. The times are for 2pm Thursday. I would suggest Friday afternoon traffic could add 15 minutes, just to get to the tunnel.
Based on this I think leaving 1 hour before your meeting starts should give enough time to get there, park your car & arrive without stress.
U can probably tell I am having a quiet day at the office... :)

Total time was 30 minutes from the Convention Center in Wanchai to Kowloon Tong, but 25 of those minutes were spent just getting to the beginning of the tunnel. After that, it was smooth sailing.
