I'm planning to try the Lantau Trail later this week, knocking off the early difficult stages on Friday afternoon and then staying at the YHA Hostel near the Buddha that night. Taking things relatively leisurely I then aim to be at Shek Pik on Saturday afternoon. Does anyone know if there is any kind of accommodation available there? There is a campsite but I don't have a tent ... do they rent them out? Are there any other options in Shek Pik or villages nearby?

Hi,
In Shek Pik there is Red Cross Campsite, which I believe is not usually occupied,
They have space for tents too, but whether they rent it out, or bring your own not sure. The campsite is decent, but no canteen there, so either bring your own food or cook.
