I wonder why my replies to forum messages a) asking for recommendation/contact info for private swimming coaches and b) asking how to get kid's t-shirt printed were removed?
The swimming company also offering private lessons is one that my kids take lessons in, for printing t-shirts I advised on DIY option I used before and once company that I saw advertising at MTR station. I do not represent either of the companies, and see other people posting commercial contact info as reply to the threads as well as their recommendation.
In forum rules you say you will inform the member if you remove a post due to having granted exclusive advertising rights. I have not received any such message, and feel confused on why my replies were removed.
I don't know why to bother giving advice, if the forum blogs messages randomly.

Not sure - but some replies were removed yesterday because they were in response to questions that were over a year old... when we see people search and reply to such questions with recommendations the assumption is they are spamming

One question was 3 days old, with no single reply so far. After checking the other question in fact was almost a year old, but lately active and on the second page due to another reply having been posted just 11 days ago. And there may be other forum members also searching for info on how to print shirts - even I did a search for that here a while back when my teenager asked to print some band t-shirts.
I came to think that the problem may be that for the contact info for the companies I recommended I also posted a link (in case this forum allows no links). While at the computer, posting a link is the easiest way to forward the details of a service provider.
No breach of any rules intended, and did not notice such rule mentioned anyhow. If that may be a reason for the posts having been removed, I would suggest rather just deleting the link and marking [link removed by administration] rather than hitting delete on whole message. That would keep the forum slightly more active with replies, and not frustrate members that take effort to comment.
Thanks for offering the forum. It has been a source of info and inspiration at times; at the moment for comparing removal companies and bail out from HK.
