CX Marco Polo vs. BA Executive Club?

Hi,


I just moved to Hong Kong from London. I'm currently gold status at BA Executive club, but wonder if it's now better switch to CX Marco Polo.


Considerations:

- Likely travelling 2-3 times p.a. to Europe, otherwise 4-5 trips within SE Asia/India

- Tier bonus miles at BA vs. starting from scratch at CX?

- CX Credit card any good?

Ask CX to do a status match to BA. Think they will only go as far as Silver though.

The CX card will earn you more air miles... + the miles go directly to your MP account.


Definitely useful to have MP status - at least silver... you get to check in at the business counter... with gold you are guaranteed a seat even if the plane is full provided you advice them 3 days prior to the flight.
