This is my first Christmas in Hong Kong and I've actually only been here a few months anyway! My Mum is going to be visiting and arrives on Christmas Eve. I'm wondering if anyone has any good advice as to where to take her for Christmas day lunch. I'd like a traditional British Christmas Lunch and it would be great if it was somewhere that had a great view too, though it's not essential. I am a veggie so it also has to be somewhere that caters for veggies too (actually I'm a pesketarian because I do eat fish). I live in North Point but we're willing to travel if somewhere is worth travelling to!! I'd like to take her on the Star Ferry tour during the light show on Christmas Day evening. Does the MTR still run well over the Christmas period?
She's here for 2 weeks so I intend to take her to Big Buddha, the round robin trip of Tai Po, Disney, Stanley market, Macau for new year to see House of the Dancing Water, the cathedral on Christmas Eve and the Nutcracker at some point. Are there any other things that you consider to be must see or any hidden gems I might not have discovered yet?
Thanks for your help in advance
