Hi all,
I just arrived in HK. I am an afro Brazilian, looking for afro hair products (hair salon, moisturizer, oils...)
BTW am also interested in meeting new people to hang out for a drink, movie,...

I am not sure where to send you for products. I suggest you go to Paul Gerrard on Pottinger street for hair cuts they have some stylists who have great experience in this field. I am sure they can point you in the right direction for the products you need for the fro.

Welcome to Hong Kong! Where products are concerned, I brought my own oils with me when I arrived a few months ago, though they are now running out so I am currently on a hunt myself. I did pick up TIGI Bed Head from Sasa - it has great hold and was able to tame my roots despite Hong Kong's humidity. I am probably going to end up having to order some things online. I gave up on the hair salon search - too few and too expensive. I'll msg you a link to a Facebook group I found really helpful.

I arrived from England six months ago. I also brought my own products but they soon run out. I was referred to a lady in Sheung Wan Cynthia who runs an Afro Caribbean saloon. I was able to get my hair done. Her number is 96146232.

Thanks Queens terrace, I know the saloon. Shame that she doesn't have the products I needed...so I gave up. I am back to natural now and loving it :-)
