can anybody please tell me how the bar girls in new makati disco make money on drinks. what are the signs to look for etc.

Actually there are no signs to look for as with each drink you order for them, a percentage of the price of the drink goes to them. either they are given a stub or whatever the system they use to keep track of how many drinks they have ordered on the moment they claim their "commission".

Many thanks for that. If i buy them drinks at the bar in makati then i don't see sign that they are getting the percentage, stub etc. but if i buy on the floor via a waitress then i see that the waitress writes something down on a paper stub and they put this into a glass behind the bar. ??

if the price of the drinks are the same then they still do as well is they still get their tips, else who else would get these tips from these overpriced drinks =) remember these girls are their for a reason which is of course to earn some money or better yet find a boyfriend.
take note that this is not isolated to makati bar only but rather most if not all the bars that have serve ladies drinks in them as this is already a norm and a system for the for both the girls and bars to earn.

They are receiving at least 100 for a drink. usually their drinks cost around 200+ and you only know when you are gonna pay your bill.
they simply come near you and start chatting and asking whether you are interested to buy her a drink. You probably simply said yes as a gentlemen but later you will be shocked to see the bill.
Me with my two other friends went to a disco and pole dance bar other day. We bought few drinks for 3 girls lets say each girl 3 drinks. And we drink around 10+ of the drinks ourselve. Guess what is the bill? Its nearly 6000. Its just a trap of catching the foriengers. Than we went into an arguement and we settle the whole shit for 2000 because we said we will call the police that they just dodge us.
So probably bring your own girl their to enjoy the actual price of the drink which is 25-30 only. lol
