NEED VISA ADVICE

Hey everyone,

I have a special situation:
I've been doing a one year training in HK and I'm returning to my home, Sweden on the 30th of June. I booked this ticket without paying attention to my visa expiration which is on the 29th. Clumsy - i know. I'm afraid of overstaying as I want to return to HK for work in the future. The flight is really expensive to change so I've been looking at two alternative solutions:

1. Since I have some errands in Shenzhen, I go there on the 29th, return to HK on the 30th through Huang Gang port which I hear is 24h. Swedes get 90 days visa free which should allow me back into the country as a tourist. Unless there is a minimum time that I have to spend outside the country after my training visa expires that I don't know of. I've never done a visa run so not sure how that works. Please advice!

2. Is it possible for me to go to the airport before midnight on the 29th and hang out there until my 08:30 flight? Not sure if I can go through the passport control that early (9 hrs) - anyone know?

Which one is better? Or is there a better way?

Option 1 would be your best option. It is very common for people to visit Shenzhen for the day, you will not have a problem coming back into Hong Kong.

option 2 wont work, since airlines wont issue you boarding pass that much in advance and without boarding pass you wont be able to cross immigration
