Schools Around tai po

My husband and I are considering moving to Tai Po (Kau lau ha) but the issue I have is that my daughter would be due to start school here in the Uk in September (she is 4) and my understanding is that children start primary school later in Hong Kong (6?) I would like my daughter to attend a pre school, however we would not be able to afford an international school. Can anyone recommend a public/government pre school within reach of Tai Po or offer any advice or thoughts what might best. Any advice very much appreciated :)

Hi Kelly

If your daughter will be going to a local primary school at 6, I suggest you immerse her in Cantonese as soon as you arrive.

Preschools are all private, but some accept a voucher called the Pre Primary Education Voucher. You should apply for it as soon as you can (as soon as your daughter has her visa).
