Hi,
I'm looking for some information regarding the regulations for provision of security at Hong Kong courts.
A Chinese (Hong Kong) national is owning a company abroad, e.g. in Germany. He lives there too since many years. If he needs to sue a company based in Hong Kong e.g. for breach of contract, does he have to pay provision for court and lawyer fees at a Hong Kong court?
Thanks for any good advice. I have a similar case...

True, being an overseas plaintiff, the defendant side can request the plaintiff side to put some money in court to cover its costs in case it is a frivolous claim. But this will not happen before you actually start an action.
