Hey there.
I recently moved to Hong Kong and signed an 8 month lease for a flat in Sheung Wan. I'm looking to set up home broadband/wifi for my flat but I haven't found anything that suits my needs. Perhaps you guys could help!
Here are my needs:
-Month to month preferred. No long term contract. (my 8 month time frame is limiting)
-Fast enough internet for video streaming and skype calling
-HKBN does not install in my building. PCCW does, not sure about i-Cable, their website bugs out when I enter my address.
I don't see any options for prepaid/month to month plans with PCCW or i-Cable. Both seem to have (expensive) 24 month contracts. Am I missing something here? I've looked on asiaxpat for internet transfers but haven't had any luck.
Another option.. I could buy a data SIM card for my Kindle fire and hotspot to my other devices (laptop). Again, I would need a prepaid plan here with fast enough internet to stream video and skype call. The China mobile SIM card I have has very affordable data but I only get download speeds of 348kbps.

Any better options out there?
