Where to find furnished rooms/flatshare that's NOT in Hong Kong Island?

Hi all - I'm starting my postdoc at CUHK, and have been struggling to find a rented room in New Territories (or just even the part of Kowloon around Hung Hom that will let me take the train easily to University station). All listings on this website and elsewhere have been for apartments on Hong Kong Island; rooms for New Territories are almost non-existent (which makes sense considering I barely see any expat around here in Tai Po where I'm staying temporarily). Does anyone have any experience or advice for looking for rooms? My postdoc is only for 1 year so I don't want to bother with renting out a whole apartment and finding roommates etc. Also did not want to use a real estate agent as I assume they mostly show whole apartments and not just a room in an occupied apartment.
