Consolidating MPF personal accounts after resignation

Hi guys i'd appreciate some advise (any!) on the eternal MPF problem. So, i've just resigned from the 2nd job I've held since arriving in HK. This means I now have 2 MPF personal accounts, one with Manulife, the other with AIA. Would the advise be to consolidate both accounts? But if so, which service provider to choose? From all what I've read, AIA is more credible than Manulife, but my Manulife investments seem to be making more returns than my AIA ones! Help... thank you.

Hi,

You can actually set up a personal MPF account with any MPF provider you like and consolidate your personal accounts there i.e. your choice isn't limited to Manulife and AIA.

Who is best for you will depend on how you like to invest as some providers will have more fund choices than others and may have more types that you like.

Or you could leave them separate.

I wouldn't say AIA is more credible than Manulife. I'd put them on the same par and would rate them on performance, choice and fees.

A good website to help you is: http://www.mpfa.org.hk/
