My HK contract of employment has unexpectedly ended early. I still have 9 months rental remaining on my tenancy agreement. I am now looking for work. However if I cannot get a job I will have to return home. Can anybody offer any advice as what to do regarding the termination of the tenancy agreement. I realise I will probably lose my two months deposit.

You can try to discuss with landlord, used up the 2 months deposit as last 2 months rental, you can try to looking for another job in this 2 months. You terminate the tenancy within 1 year, that you probably lose 2 months deposit.
Please read your tenancy agreement, is there any break clause in the agreemrnt?
