Residential vs. Commercial Buildings?

Hey AsiaExpat Community!

I just moved to Hong Kong - looking for a nice place to stay. I stumbled multiple times across the option to life either in a residential or in a commercial building. As to life in a commercial building is cheaper / more profitable I´m concerned about the legal position but couldnt find an answer.

It would be much appreciated if someone could enlighten me regarding my concers to move either in a residential or in a commercial building.
