Mpf withdraw problem

I got fired from my job end of November because of some miss understanding with my employer. I left hk middle of December. Before i left i had done all the necessary things for Mpf withdrawn and passed to the trustee (hsbc bank). To my horror, i called hsbc 2 days ago and they told me that my employer inform them that i still working with them and they can't process with my withdraw.
I called my employer but till now they still have not do anything about it. (Heard from my friend working in the HR that they do this on purpose because they were not happy with some if my decision about my job and they know me is a little bit short of money at the moment.
Can my employer really do this to delay my mpf withdrawn? If not anyway that i can file a complaint? I am back to my home country at the moment.
