This follows hot on the heals of the assault and rape of an Australian tourist:


A 28-year-old Perth woman was raped at knifepoint in the latest in a series of break-ins at holiday villas in Bali.


The woman was on holiday with seven family members on the popular island when a burglar broke into her room at a luxury villa in Kerobokan about 4am on Saturday.


He forced her at knifepoint to open the room's safety deposit box. When he saw the safe was empty, he demanded her wallet and then sexually assaulted her.


Other family members, including young children, were asleep in adjoining rooms. The woman told Balinese police the attacker threatened to stab her if she tried to alert anyone.
