I have another question. Which eye make-up remover do you use?
I use liquid eyeliner for my eyes.
Lancome has worked wonders for me year after year. However, I've been getting eye styes due to make-up application. When I went to see my eye doctor, she told me that oil based make-up remover is very bad for the skin and can create wrinkles.
So can anyone recommend a good non oil based remover?
Thanks :-)

Hi,
Try the eye make up remover from Elemis. It works wonder for me :) and inexpensive. I recall they have a counter at harvey nichols where I got my products from, but recently I bought them from a spa in Causewaybay which is operated by their distributor. try.. 3595 1152

Bioderma Sensibio - you can find it at Sasa and ColourMix. Also at Mannings but at twice the price. Many of these types of micellar waters are good but I find Bioderma to be the most effective and gentle.
Why did your doctor say oil based makeup removers can create wrinkles, never heard of that?

Thank you girls. In fact my work colleague just told me about Bioderma as well. I went to both Sasa and ColourMix but both do not have stock. So I'll have to wait.
I searched online and heard that Neutrogena oil free eye and lip make up remover is meant to be good. I've just bought a bottle from Sa Sa at lunchtime today and will give that one a try. It's still oil based though so I will grab Bioderma when it's back on the shelves.
My doctor mentioned something about the oil tends to clog up the pores or something, creating styes. I think possible the statement about wrinkles is because I rub too hard. So rubbing and getting make up in the eye as well as using oil based make up removers tend to cause all sorts of eye problems. I really have to listen carefully next time. I only remember the bit where I need to buy non oil based eye make up remover and I need to remove my make up gently and not rub too hard. I also have to be careful with glitters, the loose ones that you press onto your eyes.

Agree. Glitters are quite tacky to remove, although I'm thorough I still end up with a glitter or two the next morning :'(
I recommend water-based Sens'eyes from MAKE UP FOR EVER (counters in Mongkok Langham Place and Causeway Bay) but before I start circling it around my eyes I normally drench a cotton pad with water and press it on my eyelids to remove eyeliner (no rubbing). My eyeliner is those sebum proof ones, so no point in rubbing them away with oil-based products as takes much longer to get rid of it. I also use a wet cotton bud to go around the lashes afterwards, and before application of eyecream.
I know it's a bit of a pain and thorough but I wear contacts because I'm too chicken for a laser treatment hehe
