Hello,
I am leaving Hong Kong shortly and I finished closing out my taxes and gave my employer my Letter of Release. Done. I gave them two weeks notice of when I would be at their office to collect my final paycheck and when I showed up, they showed me an unsigned paycheck and said I would have to wait for the boss to sign it. Day two and still no signature. I don't like disorganized management and unnecessary delays especially for such a supposedly famous institution. This has been a common thing I have seen in China and Hong Kong. If it doesn't affect them, then why should they care right? If I don't receive my final paycheck by the end of the day today like was promised, I want to know who I can contact to get them moving on this. I want to be done with this ridiculous company and they are holding my pay without reason other than being lazy. Is there a labor person I talk to or what? Thanks!

sometimes they hold to salary to ensure that you have cleared your tax, ask them the exact reason and solve the issue.
