Does anyone know how to make some really good Sangria?

Soak strawberries in vodka and sugar overnight, mix with lots of ice and red wine and a little bit of fresh mint, very yummy!

I have a whole lot of Sangria recipes out of a Martha Stewart Magazine - all look like alcoholic fruit salad !!
Here we go..
White Wine Sangria
1 cup of seedless green grapes, 1 peeled and sliced firm kiwi fruit, 1 pound of seedless watermelon scooped into balls, 1/4 green honeydew melon seeded and cut into 1 inch cubes, 1 each sliced and seeded lime and starfruit and 1 pink grapefruit seeded sliced and quartered. Sprinke with 1 tablespoons of superfine sugar and stir to combine. Add 3 ounces of cointreau and 3 ounces of brandy and let sit at least 1 hour. Stir in 1 750 ml bottle of chilled fruit wine and 1 cup of white cranberry juice. Makes 2 qarts. Add more sugar if required.
Prosecco Sangria
In a pitcher combine 1 peach, 1 nectarine and 3 apricots all pitted and cut into wedges. Stir in 5 ounces peach brandy, let sit one hour. Stir in 750 ml bottle chilled prosecco (Italian sparkling wine) and 1 cup peach nectar.
Red Wine Sangria
In a pitcher combine 1 cup of seeless red or black grapes and 1 each sliced and seeded lemon and orange and 2 apples, red and green, cored and cut into 1/2 inch wedges. Sprinkle with 1 tablespoon of superfine sugar and stir to combine. Add 3 tablespoons of both grand marnier and brandy and 2 cinnamon sticks, let sit 1 hour. Stir in 750 ml bottle chilled dry red wine and 1 cup of orange juice. Add more sugar if desired, discard cinnamon sticks, serve chilled.
Rose Sangria
In a pitcher combine 2 cups each of blueberries, blackberries, hulled strawberries and am ix of red and golden raspberries. Stir in 1 tablespoon of superfine sugar and add 5 ounces of framboise (rasberry luquer), let it sit 1 hour and then add 750 ml bottle of chilled rose wine and 1 1/3 cups of white cranberry juice.
Plum and Pineapple Sangria
Peel andhalve lengthwise and core 1 pineapple, cut into half. Cut one half into 3/4 inch thick spears and the other half into 1 inch chunks. Transfer the pineapple to a pitcher and add 4 plums of various types, each pitted and sliced. Sprinkle with 1 tablespoon of superfine sugar and stir to combine. Add 3 ounces each contreau and brandy and let sit one hour. Stir in 1 750 ml bottle of chilled fruity red wine and 1 1/3 cups of pineapple juice and 1 cup of sparkline water. Add more sugar if desired and serve chilled.

Macobee - I will email to you - but have to go out just now so will do later. Delphine - I don't drink that much but the rose is my favourite and I think the peach one could definitely do with few mangoes if in season. I think you just have to adapt them to what you can get at the right time, one for every fruit season hey?

Over 10% of the world has moved to Mozilla... it is a FAR BETTER and more secure browser than IE and it is quickly ripping into MS dominance of browsers.
