Funny that every one assumes Kimmy lives in Aberdeen. Or may be its only me who doesnt know Kimmy.

Thanks so much for your replies.. I live in Kowloon but am willing to travel to Aberdeen/Stanley if that means my doggie (11yrs old..) will get top treatment.. I find some doctors at the SPCA very good indeed but as riffraff said, don't feell comfortable with seeing so many different ones.

For those of you in Kowloon, I heard there's a good one in Mongkok too and am trying to find out more about it. Will post info on them once available.

Thanks everyone!! I'm going to check out one of the above....

Actually I have another question, I'd taken my 11-yr old pomeranian to the SPCA 10days ago (didn't know where else) for a pretty nasty ear infection and got some medecine... She's very well now (almost normal really)but the SPCA just called me to say the lab results were in, and that I should pick up some anti-biotics... But she is well now! Do I still need the medicine??? (I'm worried the SPCA just want to make $$) My poor doggie had been on all sorts of medication for the past 8 months you see...and their clinic is in the middle of nowhere!

I highly reccomend Dr David Gething, Creature comforts. He has been great in treating our dogs. He is a "travelling" vet, so visits your dogs / cats at home, where they feel safe and secure. Their prices are very reasonable.

How much does Dr Gething charge for an average consultation...? I think it's around HKD 300 at the SPCA...

I heard that Dr. Betty, at the SPCA, is a dog expert. Can you not request the doctor you want? We do for appts there.

Maverick, I love the sound of how active Jo is!!! My 11-yr old pomeranian is active but began to have all sorts of infections in the past year or so - ear, paw and other parts! I've been going to the SPCA each time, but the problems reoccur after a while... anyone taken their dogs to the Ark?
