i have found a cute little apt, top floor with roof. there is no elevator, no washer, no fridge, not even stove.... they are asking for 4500/mo. what do you think?

i concern about TV and internet services..., the cost for moving is also a big concern. if they charge me $100 / box / flight of stairts, then, it would cost me a lot...... :)

I also live in a walk up and get charged $100 for every flight whenever I get something delivered. Can also be a problem delivering large items depending on your stairwell angles.

as for a simple person, one bed, one sofa bed, one desk, one dining table, one tv, some chairs and approx 5-10 box of stuff & clothes.... that is normal, right? it is hard to estimate how much would it cost me for moving into a walk up.

even if the mover charge for $50/box/flight of stairs.... it would be at least 5-6k per job... WOW WOW....

You will agree a one off moving in charge with whomever you use - you won't have to pay per item. What I was getting at is that if you order additional things after moving in, like recently I decided to get a new sofa, that's when the $100 per floor applies.
