Hello,
I hope this post is under the correct section. I need to pick up a few new suits and was wondering if custom made suits have same quality as the designer brands. The Boss suits in Sogo run about 8000 HKD, which is expensive but they fit well. I priced a custom made suit in Causeway Bay for about 2500 HKD.
Any advice on custom suits?
Thanks in advance.
Rick

rick i think its basically about the quality of the materials used... read up on that and then take your info to the tailors and see what deal they will do with comparitive material.

What about Shenzhen tailors for men's suits? Any recommendations for copying suits?

Topic of good tailors in Hong Kong has been discussed ad nauseam on this board - fairly comprehensive threat mentioning a number of recommendations is here:

Incidentally, Sam's is mentioned on various threads on this board - consensus view is that it is all marketing hype, that prices are 'highish', and that materials and workmanship are generally poor. Believe Sam's was also included in the recent article in the Asian Wall Street Journal (weekend edition - review of tailors in Hong Kong based on custom-made blouses) and fared badly in comparison.
