Question re: company rental reimbursement

My company offers Rental Reimbursement, and one of the clauses states that :

In the event the lease is in your spouse's name or joint name with your spouse or other tenant(s), you will need to declare that your spouse or other tenant(s) is not receiving any housing assistance or participating in any rental reimbursement arrangement to the extent of the amount declared, and that the rental expenses benefiting from this rental reimbursement scheme incurred under the aforementioned leased property are borne by yourself.

Can anyone shed any light of what exactly this clause refers to? If both my spouse and I are eligible for RR from our respective employers, are we both able to participate in the scheme at our respective companies? Or only one of us can?

thanks

Hi there, I'm not an expert in this but it appears that the clause is saying you are both not able to claim rental reimbursement at the same time from your respective employers (even if you are both able to apply). You can only claim from one employer.

Hope that helps.
