You can go to City Super in Causeway Bay - they have. Also in Sheung Wan next to the Korean consulate there is a shop that sells all things Korean

There are several stores in Taikooshing as well if you happened living there.

Thanks. Will visit City Super IFC today. I live near Kowloon station so Tai Koo is a bit far for me. Anyway, Thanks Mighty.... Just wondering is there any in Kowloon side.

Mighty, can you tell us where in Taikooshing?

I agree with kimchee, Behind Kimberly street is like a small Korea Town with restaurants and shops that sell Korean food. They have a large selection and variety. Plus, the ingredients are probably cheaper than at City Super. Good Luck

those little veggie sidedishes ("banchan") are all prepared in a similar way... quick boil followed by seasoning (sesame oil, sesame seeds, salt etc) But for authentic-tasting banchans, get the Korean sesame oil and soy sauce! for fish sauce, thai brands are fine. (trust me on this, i'm korean!!)

Ha..ha..Kimmy, you are so cute. BTW, thanks for the recipe website. Really appreciate your kindness. I will definitely try to make it one of these days. I made radish kimchi this morning, it turned out alright, but it was too watery and I knew something is missing but can't figure out what, as I use the recipe that I search from google. I heard you guys use glutinous rice for bibimbab, is that right?Or is there some kind of special rice for that dish? Thanks again....

no problem diana, just happy to help out.. you made radish kimchi? how courageous! (kimchi-making is known to be quite difficult in korea.. as you need to get the right combination of seasoning. i havent even tried myself) I heard radishes you get in HK are too soft so the taste will not be the same.. and as for the watery part, i guess you might need to add more seasoning (including spring onions, chives etc) and dont forget, the radish (or cabage, for cabage kimchi) need to be soaked in sea salt in advance..(partly to let the water out) and for bibimbab, we use normal rice, just that korean rice is stickier than chinese rice..(try korean grocery store, or buy Sakura-brand rice from wellcome)

Australian rice (calrose rice -- short, plump grains) works well for bibimbap and other Korean dishes. I cook it in a rice cooker and it sticks together quite well.

Thanks guys, will try to make it one day. Once again, I really appreciate all of your responses.
