I am looking for a good Australian accountant that can help set an Australian company and fill an annual tax return

ATS is good they advertise on this site. Only had tax returns done so don't know about setting up company - but if he can't do it I am sure he will know someone who can

Could try Suzanne Liu, trained and worked in Aus I believe and does to tax and company formation.

You don't need to have an accountant here in HK. I still use my Aus accountant - simply fax the relevant stuff to him - or email, or post.

The Australian Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong have a list of accountants, lawyers etc. Many of the professionals on the books have Australian and Hong Kong offices, which may be handy for your needs.
