personal trainer

Does anyone have suggestions on where I can find a good personal trainer? I am looking to start an exercise and fitness regimen. I would like the trainer to come to the gym in my building 3-5x per week for 60-90 minutes per session.

I see there are many personal trainers listed in the classifieds but I would prefer to get a referral. Thanks.

There's another person who is excellent called Ross Eathorne from Bodyactive. He'll get results for sure if you're prepared to put in the work, and is probably one of the most highly trained people in this industry in HK. He covers fitness and nutrition, and starts with a comprehensive assessment. Definitely worth contacting if you're comitted to getting results. His contact details ross@bodyactive.net. He's trains clients in the Centrium in Central, so you'd need to contact him to see if he will do 'home' visits.

can I have more details on Ross. Is he good even with helping women lose weight and stay motivated or does he work more with men trying to build muscle? I had a terrible experience with a so called PT at one of the popular gyms. Made me feel even bigger and heavier than I am by laughing at how much body fat I had with that weird instrument. I felt so humiliated. I went to the gym to get fitter and lose weight, but instead walked out after that session never to return.

shamzyy, have sent you a message with more details on Ross. Should also say he does some specialist work specifically training women (and doing post natal work)as there are different ways to train men and women. Hope he can help you

I agree it's essential to find out how much experience and what qualifications your personal trainer has. You need to work with someone who's going to help you get the results you want and do that by tailoring a programme that is specific to you. Not just a general gym machine programme given by some PTs. I've experienced the latter and I think it's a waste of time and money and can cause injury if no proper assessment done up front.

I am also looking for personal training! I don’t like the crowd environment of traditional fitness center, and I found one called “360 fitness” in Central last week; I went there to have a look after work and I like it! They really provide privacy for their customers and the staffs said that they are going to have a deal on Twangoo! So I think it’s a very good chance for me to lose my fat before summer! Maybe you could also try it~
