I want to buy a Dachshund dog. Does anyone know of any breeders or any rescue places that currently have Dachshunds?

But MissP, you say you would never sell to a HK owner, so why should your breeder friends be any different?
Certainly agree about quality of HK dogs though. I have two rescue dogs, both with numerous problems (psychological & physical).

i got the same problem in buying a toy breed--chihauhau. i've been looking for over 6mths, still no luck in getting a good quality long haired chihauhua. can you help, missP? I'll never buy from local pet shops b/c of the health & quality issues. I've trying to find a show dog breeder who is specialized in chihauhau, no luck so far. so if anyone knows such breeder in hk or in other country who is willing to ship oversea, pls let me know.

miss P, i really hope if you could help me get in touch with a chihauhau breeder, i don't mind going through interviews w/ the breeder, i can assure the breeder i could take good care of the dog. i just want to adopt a quality chi as a loved pet, not for showing or breeding. pls help

expat97, i had two chis when i was little, that's why i'm so much into getting a chi again, i know the breed well and have done a lot of reserach about the breed, have seen chis from other coutries, the quality is so much better. i've been to many local pet shops, they all selling china imported chis, not the type i'm looking + the health concerns etc...so i decided to get one from reputable chi breeder instead.
